04/02/2025

Last week, Brazilian Farmers participated in the Expo ANTAD 2025, held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The event provided a valuable opportunity to expand trade relations within Brazil’s agribusiness sector. The AgroBR initiative, promoted by CNA in partnership with APEX-Brasil, gathered rural entrepreneurs representing small- and medium-sized companies in the food and beverage industry.

During the mission, the delegation attended meetings with distributors, representatives of supermarket chains, and other key market players from Mexico. This schedule allowed them to showcase a diverse range of Brazilian products such as cocoa and its derivatives, açaí, jams, beans, cassava starch, wines, sparkling wines, and spices. The fair reinforced the international role of national products and enabled the forging of new commercial contacts.

Throughout the event, eight entrepreneurs secured deals totaling approximately US$ 1.5 million, while projections for the upcoming months indicate that sales could exceed US$ 39 million. These figures underscore the potential of the Mexican market and the increasing acceptance of Brazilian products across several segments.

In addition to business meetings, the delegation participated in complementary activities, including visits to the Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce and the Supply Center, one of the city’s key distribution hubs. These visits offered a broader perspective on the local trade landscape and eased meaningful interactions with professionals involved in food logistics and distribution.

According to CNA’s International Relations Advisor, Rita Padilla, the exchange of ideas and meetings with partners during the fair have paved the way for future deals and strengthened ties with the Mexican market. Mônica Batista, another CNA representative, highlighted Mexico’s promising prospects as a destination for Brazilian products, noting that the event expanded the potential for establishing new trade partnerships.
