In addition to Tahiti lemons, which began being produced commercially after a meticulous three-year cultivation period, Natural Citrus expanded its activities to include crops such as Hawaiian papaya, watermelon, sweet potato, cassava, and green beans. This diversification strengthened the company against market fluctuations and positioned it as a versatile supplier in the agricultural sector.
International Expansion with Agro.BR Support
The breakthrough came with strategic support from the Agro.BR program, which equipped Natural Citrus’s team with expertise in every stage of the exporting process. The pivotal participation at the Fruit Attraction in São Paulo consolidated their presence in the national market and opened doors to the global stage. According to Rogério Rafael, Natural Citrus’ Commercial Director, “Fruit Attraction was our first experience in the export market, and once again, the Agro.BR project was there guiding us with the support of SEBRAE-RN. We seized the opportunity to showcase our brand at one of the most important fruit fairs in the market. After the fair, we had several prospective clients and closed our first container. Today, we’ve already shipped eight containers to Europe with a consistent schedule for the coming months.”
