Brazilian Entrepreneurs Expand Sustainable Agribusiness in the Middle East

10/03/2024

Brazilian agribusiness entrepreneurs participated in the Gulfood Green, a global event focused on sustainable food production, held in Dubai. Supported by the Agro.BR project, an initiative of the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA) in partnership with ApexBrasil, they aimed to promote the diversification of Brazilian agribusiness exports, especially products geared towards sustainability.
In addition to the fair, CNA organized a seminar and business roundtable to connect Brazilian producers with buyers from the Middle East, a region increasingly significant for Brazilian food exports.

Highlights from the Gulfood Green
The Gulfood Green has gained worldwide recognition for its focus on sustainability and innovation in the food production chain. The Brazilian entrepreneurs showcased a range of goods, including fresh fruits, nuts, grains, and meats, all produced with a focus on sustainable and responsible agricultural practices. The event created new business opportunities, reinforcing Brazil’s commitment to providing high-quality food products that meet environmental standards.
Participation in the event (facilitated by Agro.BR) was strategic for increasing the visibility of Brazilian products abroad, especially in a market that values sustainability. The fair also allowed participants to learn about global trends and opportunities for innovation in sustainable agriculture.

Seminar and Business Roundtable in Dubai

In addition to attending the fair, CNA hosted a seminar followed by a business roundtable that gathered Brazilian producers and potential buyers from countries like the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia. This seminar addressed opportunities and challenges in international agricultural trade, while the business roundtable provided a platform for strengthening commercial relationships.
The business roundtable resulted in new partnerships, highlighting the growing interest in Brazilian agricultural products in the Middle East. This region has proven to be a strategic market for Brazil, which seeks to diversify its exports and expand its global presence.

Expansion of Brazilian Agribusiness in the Middle East
The Middle East is a promising market for Brazilian agribusiness, especially due to the rising demand for high-quality and sustainable food products. Participation in events like the Gulfood Green and CNA initiatives shows Brazil’s commitment to consolidating its role in this strategic region.
Support from projects like Agro.BR is essential for Brazilian producers to reach new markets, connect with potential buyers, and explore opportunities for innovation. Diversifying exports and implementing more sustainable practices remain priorities for Brazilian agribusiness, which continues to expand its global reach.
